Steps To Clean Rust Off Wedges
- If the wedge is a small one, you can simply dip it in a solution of lemon juice and water. Soak for about 10 minutes and then scrub the affected area gently using a steel wool. Rinse wedge and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- For larger wedges, you can use a solution of baking soda and white vinegar. Mix both the ingredients together and pour the solution into a spray bottle. Spray solution onto the rust-affected area and let it stay for a few minutes. Then take some steel wool and scrub the area gently. Wipe off the solution with a damp cloth and rinse with water afterwards.
- You can also try a paste made out of borax powder and water. Take a teaspoon of borax and mix it with enough water to form a paste. Apply paste onto the affected parts of the wedges and let it stay for a few hours. Once done, you can use steel wool to scour off the rust. Rinse the wedges with water and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
As you can see, rust stains on wedges can be removed with great ease. Once you are done with the cleaning process, make sure that you always keep your wedges stored in a dry place as dampness ultimately leads to rusting.
