  2. Mix lemon juice or white vinegar with warm water in a bowl.
  3. Dip a toothbrush in the mixture and scrub the rust stain gently.
  4. Let wallet sit for a few minutes before scrubbing again.
  5. If the rust stain persists, make a paste of baking soda and water and apply it to the stain. Let it dry and then scrape off any residue. Scrub the area again with mixture from step 2 and then rinse it off with warm water.
  6. Finally, wipe the area clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry.
