The first step to getting rid of rust stains on twill is to identify the source of the stain. If the stains came from metal furniture, you’ll want to make sure that you remove any remaining pieces of metal before beginning the cleaning process.

Once the source of the stain has been found and removed, next step is to mix up a cleaning solution. To do this, mix one part white vinegar with two parts water. You can add a tablespoon of baking soda to the mixture as well – this will help to lift stain and make it easier to scrub away. Once you’ve mixed the ingredients together, pour them directly onto the stained area of the twill fabric.

After pouring solution onto the stained area, use a clean cloth to rub the solution into the stain. You may need to let the solution sit for a few minutes in order for the stain to loosen up enough for you to scrub it away. Be sure to scrub gently so as not to damage the fabric.

Once you’ve scrubbed away as much of the stain as possible, rinse the fabric off with warm water. Be sure to continue rinsing until all traces of the cleaning solution are gone. Finally, if stain is still visible, you can apply a rust remover product to the area. Let the remover sit for a few minutes and then rinse it away with warm water.

With these tips, you’ll be able to get those stubborn rust stains out of twill fabric in no time. Remember to always read the instructions on any cleaning solution before using it, and to test a small area of the fabric first to make sure it won’t cause any damage.
