Step 1 – Gently Scrub the Item

Start by using a soft bristled brush to gently scrub stained toy. Avoid using steel wool or any other abrasive materials that may scratch the surface of the toy.

Step 2 – Create a Cleaning Solution

Mix a solution of 1 part water and 1 part distilled white vinegar. Immerse the item in the cleaning solution, or use a cloth dampened with solution to clean the rust stains.

Step 3 – Rinse Toy with Clean Water

After cleaning with the solution, rinse the toy with clean water. If the rust stains are still visible, you can repeat steps until the desired result is achieved.

Step 4 – Dry the Toy

Once rust stains have been removed, dry the toy with a lint-free cloth. Care should be taken to ensure that all moisture is removed in order to prevent rust from returning.

With these simple steps, you can easily restore your kid’s toys and keep them looking as good as new!
