Materials Needed for Rust Stain Removal

  • Soap or detergent
  • Non-Chlorine Bleach
  • Warm water
  • Soft cloths or sponges

How to Remove Rust Stains From Ties

  1. Soak the tie in warm water for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Mix together a solution of one teaspoon of soap or detergent and one teaspoon of non-chlorine bleach for every quart of warm water.
  3. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and dab the stain.
  4. Rinse the tie in cold water.
  5. Repeat if necessary.
