To successfully clean rust stains from your rash guard, you'll need the following supplies:

  • White vinegar
  • Dish soap
  • Baking soda
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Soft cloth

Step 1: Soak

Start by soaking the rash guard in white vinegar for at least 30 minutes. This will help to loosen the rust stain from the fabric. If the stain is particularly stubborn, let the rash guard soak for a few hours.

Step 2: Wash

Once garment has been soaked, gently hand-wash it with a mixture of dish soap and baking soda. Be sure to work the soap into area affected by rust stain. Rinse the garment thoroughly when done.

Step 3: Treat

Next, treat the area with a few drops of rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. Rub the area gently until you see the stain start to come out. Rinse the garment again when finished.

Step 4: Dry

Finally, allow the garment to air-dry or put it in the dryer on low-heat. Once completely dry, inspect area to make sure stain is completely gone. Repeat steps if needed.
