Step by Step Instructions

  1. Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl.
  2. Dip a soft cloth or brush into the mixture and then gently rub the stain with the cloth/brush. Be cautious not to rub too hard or the fabric may get damaged.
  3. Once you feel the rust stain has been removed, rinse off area with clean water to make sure all of vinegar is gone.
  4. For tougher stains, use a baking soda paste. Mix baking soda with water until you create a thick paste. Then, apply paste onto the stain and let it sit for a few minutes.
  5. Rinse off paste, then check stain. If it's still there, you can try using an oxygenated bleach solution.
  6. Mix a few drops of oxygenated bleach solution with some water in a bowl. Dip a cloth into the mixture and rub the stain with the cloth.
