Step 1: Prepare the Area

Start by getting some water, an old toothbrush (or other soft-bristled brush), baking soda, white vinegar, and a clean cloth. Protect your working surface with a craft sheet or old towel, as it might get dirty or stained.

Step 2: Make a Paste

Combine the baking soda and white vinegar to make a paste. Use a 1:1 ratio. The mixture should be thick enough to stick to the affected area of the Puma shoe.

Step 3: Apply the Paste

Using the toothbrush, gently scrub paste onto the rust stain. Make sure to cover the entire area, and be careful not to use too much pressure, as you could damage the fabric of the shoe. Let paste sit for about 10 minutes before proceeding to next step.

Step 4: Remove Paste

After letting it sit for 10 minutes, use the cloth to remove the paste from the Puma. You may need to use some warm water and mild soap to help remove paste completely.

Step 5: Finishing Touches

Once the paste is removed, use the toothbrush to scrub the area once more. This time, you should use a circular motion to really work bristles into the fabric of the shoe. Once you're done, let area dry and then you should see the rust stain has disappeared!

Conclusion

Rust stains can seem daunting to remove, but with this easy 5 step process you can have your Pumas looking like new in no time!
