Step 1: Scrub with Baking Soda and Water

Mix baking soda and water together until it forms a paste. Then, use a sponge or microfiber cloth to scrub the rust spots, applying pressure so that the paste can enter crevices of the pan. Leave the paste on for up to 5 minutes then rinse with cold water.

Step 2: Soak in Vinegar

Fill the pot or pan with enough white vinegar to cover the rust stains completely. Leave it submerged for up to 30 minutes to give the vinegar time to break down the rust. Afterward, you should use a scouring pad or steel wool to help remove the rust.

Step 3: Use Lemon Juice and Salt

Mix together lemon juice and salt until it forms a paste, then apply it to the rust stain. Let this sit for 10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. If the rust stain is particularly stubborn, use a scouring pad or steel wool to gently scrub off any remaining residue.

And there you have it! Follow these three simple steps and you'll have gleaming, rust-free pots and pans in no time.
