What You Need
- Borax
- Dishwashing Liquid
- White Vinegar
- Lemon Juice
Steps to Clean Rust Stains from Pencil Skirt
- Mix 1 tablespoon of Borax with 500 ml of warm water. Stir until Borax is completely dissolved.
- Dip a sponge or a soft cloth in the Borax solution and gently rub the stained area of pencil skirt.
- Rinse the affected area with cold water.
- If the stain still remains, mix 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice in 500 ml of water.
- Dip a sponge in this solution and gently rub the stained area.
- Rinse the affected area with cold water.
- Repeat the same steps until the stain is gone.
Tips to Remember
- Before trying any method, test it in an inconspicuous spot on the skirt to avoid damaging fabric.
- Avoid using bleach or any other harsh cleaning products on your pencil skirt as it may cause discoloration.
- For tough stains, soak the fabric in a mixture of 1 cup of Borax and 1 gallon of cold water for 1 hour.
