Gather Materials
You’ll need some materials on hand before starting the cleaning process. Gather:
- A teaspoon of white vinegar
- A tablespoon of baking soda
- Two tablespoons of laundry detergent
- A bowl of warm water
- A sponge
- A cloth or brush
Directions
- Create a cleaning mixture by combining equal parts of white vinegar and baking soda in a bowl. Once combined, mixture should bubble.
- Dip sponge into the mixture and rub it directly onto the rust stain.
- Rinse the sponge in the bowl of warm water.
- Mix together two tablespoons of laundry detergent with the warm water.
- Gently scrub rust stain with the cloth or brush using the detergent solution.
- Rinse area thoroughly with cold water.
- Pat dry with a towel.
