What You'll Need

  • Soft sponge
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Clean cloth

Instructions

  1. Dampen a soft sponge with rubbing alcohol and scrub the area gently.
  2. If that doesn’t work, make a paste of two parts vinegar and one part baking soda and apply it to the stain. Scrub gently with soft sponge again.
  3. Once the paste is absorbed, wipe it away with a clean damp cloth.
  4. Dry the surface with a soft cloth.

Tips

  • Be sure to test the rubbing alcohol, vinegar, and baking soda on a hidden corner of the marble before applying it to stain. This will ensure that the chemicals won’t damage the surface.
  • If you’re dealing with a large area of marble affected by the rust stain, you may need to repeat the process multiple times until the stain is completely gone.
