Whether your favourite jeans got caught in rain or you just need to remove an old stain, rust stains can be removed with a few easy steps. The method will depend on fabric of your jeans, so it is important to check label before starting any cleaning process. Here's what you can do to remove rust stains from denim jeans:

Step 1: Create a Rust-Removing Solution

Mix equal parts of white vinegar and lemon juice in a cup or bowl. You can also use a combination of water and lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide and cream of tartar for more concentrated stains.

Step 2: Soak the Jeans

Add enough of the rust-removing solution to the stained area of the jeans until it is completely submerged. Let the jeans soak for at least one hour before continuing.

Step 3: Scrub the Stained Area

Using an old toothbrush, gently scrub the stain with rust-removing solution. Be sure to use as little pressure as possible to avoid damaging the fabric of the jeans.

Step 4: Rinse

Once the stain has been removed, rinse the jeans with cool water. If the stain is still present, repeat steps 2 and 3.

Step 5: Launder as Usual

Once the stain is gone, wash the jeans as usual. Make sure to check label for washing instructions.
