Mix together one teaspoon of salt and one tablespoon of white vinegar. Apply the solution directly to the stain and rub it in gently with a clean cloth or soft brush. Allow it to sit for several minutes, then rinse the area with cool water until the solution has been completely removed.
Mix together two tablespoons of baking soda and two tablespoons of water to form a paste. Apply the paste directly to the rust stains and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Then scrub the area with a clean cloth or soft brush to remove stain.
If you are still seeing traces of the rust stain, it is time to give the hoodie a full wash. Use the liquid detergent and water temperature recommended on the care label, and follow all washing instructions.
Once the hoodie is washed, it's time to dry it. A tumble dryer may be used depending on the care label instructions. If not, you can hang it up to dry, making sure to avoid using direct heat.
To avoid rust stains in the future, regularly make sure to check for items that may contain rust, such as buckles, zippers, or buttons. Items such as these can cause rust stains on clothing if they come into contact with them. It is also important to store your clothing in a cool, dry place to prevent any moisture from causing rust.
