Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

First, you need to gather up the supplies you will need to remove the rust stain. You will need a clean cloth, rubber gloves, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, laundry detergent, and an old toothbrush.

Step 2: Create a Mixture

Next, mix one tablespoon of laundry detergent with one cup of hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Give the mixture a good stir.

Step 3: Apply the Mixture to the Stain

Then, put on your rubber gloves and take your old toothbrush to apply the mixture to the rust stain. Make sure to cover the entire area of stain with the mixture, so that it can penetrate deep into the fabric.

Step 4: Scrub the Stain

Once the mixture is applied to stain, use the toothbrush to gently scrub the stain until you can see it starting to come off. Try not to scrub too hard so that you don't damage the fabric.

Step 5: Rinse and Repeat

Next, rinse off clothing with cold water. If the stain is still there, repeat steps 3 and 4 until you no longer see the stain.

Step 6: Apply Baking Soda

Once the stain is completely gone, it is now time to apply baking soda. Take a handful of baking soda and sprinkle it over the area. Make sure to cover entire area with baking soda.

Step 7: Let Sit

Now let the clothing sit for at least an hour. This will give the baking soda enough time to absorb any remaining odors or stains.

Step 8: Wash

Finally, wash your clothing as you normally would in the washing machine. Hang to dry and enjoy!
