Anyone who owns a Coach accessory knows that rust stains can occur over time from metal hardware. Fortunately, removing these stains is fairly easy with the correct techniques.

Things You'll Need

  • Soft cloths or sponges
  • Mild, non-abrasive cleaner such as dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Wet the rust stain with warm water and gently rub with a soft cloth or sponge. Make sure not to scrub too hard as this could damage the fabric.
  2. Mix a mild, non-abrasive cleaner with warm water and proceed to apply it to the rust stain in circular motions.
  3. Once the stain has been removed, rinse with more warm water and pat dry.
  4. Inspect area for any remaining rust stains. If there are still some stains present, make a mixture of 1 cup of white vinegar and 2 cups of water.
  5. Soak a soft cloth in the mixture and use it to gently scrub the remaining stains away.
  6. Rinse the area with warm water and let it air dry.
