Gather some supplies that will help you remove the rust stains: white vinegar, baking soda, steel wool, a cloth, a bucket, and a bit of elbow grease.
Once you have your supplies gathered, it’s time to make a paste. Mix together equal parts white vinegar and baking soda into a bowl or bucket until you have a thick paste.
Once the paste is ready, apply it to the rust-stained area on bottom of your pot or pan. Use the steel wool or a cloth to rub the paste into the stain, scrubbing in a circular motion.
Once the paste has been worked into the stain, rinse off with water and dry with a cloth or paper towel. Inspect the bottom of the pan or pot to make sure all rust has been removed.
