Rust stains can be intimidating to remove, especially from board shorts. However, with these simple steps, you can get those board shorts looking as good as new in no time!

What You Will Need:

  • Bowl
  • Distilled White Vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Clean Cloth or Sponge

Step 1: Create a Vinegar Paste

In a bowl, combine equal parts vinegar and baking soda to make a paste. You may need to add more vinegar and baking soda if the consistency is too thick or thin.

Step 2: Apply the Paste to the Rust Stain

Take a clean cloth or sponge and apply the paste to the rust stain. Rub the paste onto the stain in a circular motion for about 1 minute.

Step 3: Let the Paste Sit

Let the paste sit on the rust stain for at least 30 minutes. This will give the vinegar and baking soda time to work their magic.

Step 4: Rinse Paste Away

Take a clean cloth or sponge and rinse the paste away with warm water. You may need to use a small brush for tough rust stains.

Step 5: Dry Board Shorts

Allow the board shorts to air dry or dry them using a warm, low heat setting on your clothes dryer.

And That's It!

By following these steps, the rust stain should be gone and your board shorts looking as good as new.
