Using White Vinegar

One of the simplest ways to get rid of rust stains on a leather belt is to use white vinegar. You will need to make a mixture of 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water. Then you should soak a soft cloth in this solution and dab it onto the stain. You should make sure to use gentle strokes and not rub belt too hard, as this could cause further damage. Once all of the rust has been removed, you should let the belt completely dry before wearing it again. This should get rid of the stains and restore the belt's original condition.

Using Lemon Juice

If white vinegar doesn't work, you can also try lemon juice to remove rust stains from your leather belt. To do this, you should squeeze the juice from half a lemon onto a clean cloth. Then you should dab the cloth onto the stain, using gentle strokes. You can leave the lemon juice on the stain for a few minutes if necessary before wiping it away with a damp cloth. Once all the rust has been removed, make sure to dry the belt thoroughly before wearing it again.

Using Baking Soda and Lemon Juice

For tougher rust stains, you can combine baking soda and lemon juice to create an effective cleaner. First, mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in a bowl. Stir the mixture until it becomes a paste. Then, spread the paste over the affected area and let it sit for 15 minutes. After allotted time, take another cloth and dip it in warm water. Use this cloth to wipe away the paste and any remaining rust stains. Finally, dry the belt with a soft cloth and you're done!

Using an Organic Citrus Cleaner

Finally, you can also use an organic citrus cleaner to remove rust stains from your leather belt. Simply spray the cleaner directly onto the stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then, take a damp cloth and wipe away any residue. If stain still won't come out, you can also try scrubbing it gently with a brush. Just be careful not to rub too hard, or you could damage the belt. Once you've removed all of rust, rinse the belt with warm water and then dry it completely before wearing it again.
