Activewear often gets roughed up from dirt and mud. And with outdoor activities come rust stains. Instead of dealing with permanent staining, take action quickly and remove the rust with a few simple steps.
What You'll Need
- Dish soap
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Cream of Tartar
- Towels or cloths
- Laundry detergent
Instructions
- Mix one tablespoon of dish soap with two tablespoons of white vinegar in a bowl.
- Create a paste by adding baking soda and cream of tartar to the mixture.
- Use a towel or cloth to rub mixture into the fabric.
- Allow the paste to sit for a few minutes.
- Rinse the affected area with water.
- If the stain has not been removed, repeat the steps.
- Once the stain is gone, use laundry detergent to wash the item according to manufacturer's instructions.

- Do not bleach activewear, as this may permanently damage it.
