What You'll Need

  • Mild detergent
  • Vinegar
  • Soft toothbrush

Instructions for Cleaning Rouge Stains

  1. Mix one teaspoon of mild detergent and one cup of warm water in a bowl.
  2. Submerge stained Venetian lace in the solution for 10 minutes.
  3. Gently rub the stain with a soft toothbrush to loosen it.
  4. Soak the lace in one cup of warm water mixed with two tablespoons of white vinegar for 10 minutes.
  5. Rinse the lace with cold water.
  6. Lay the lace flat on a towel and let it dry.

Tip

If the rouge stain persists after drying, repeat Steps 1-5 until the stain is completely removed.
