Nobody likes to find unsightly stains on their umbrella. But with a few simple cleaning materials, even the toughest rouge stains can be removed from umbrella fabrics. Here’s what you need to do:

Step 1: Gather Supplies

You’ll need a few cleaning supplies to remove the rouge stain from your umbrella fabric. This includes:

  • A liquid dish or laundry detergent
  • Warm water
  • A soft bristled brush or scrub-brush
  • A bucket

Step 2: Mix Detergent Solution

In the bucket, mix together a small amount of detergent with warm water. You should aim for a solution that is about 50/50 detergent to water.

Step 3: Test the Solution

Before using the solution on affected area, test it on a less visible spot on umbrella first. This will give you an idea of how solution will affect the fabric. If you’re happy with the results, move on to the next step.

Step 4: Scrub the Stain

Using the soft bristled brush, gently scrub the area with detergent solution. Be sure not to scrub too hard as this could damage the fabric. If you come across any chunks or tougher stains, you may need to use a more intense cleaning solution.

Step 5: Rinse and Dry

After you’ve finished scrubbing the area, rinse off the detergent solution with clean water and allow umbrella to air dry. It’s important to make sure that you rinse off all of the detergent before putting away the umbrella.

And with that, you’re done! Even the toughest rouge stains can be easily removed from umbrellas with this simple guide.
