1. Water and Detergent
The simplest way to remove rouge stains from ties is by using a bit of water and detergent. First, start by blotting the stained area with a clean sponge or cloth. Be sure to not rub the stain as this may cause it to spread. Then, mix a solution of one teaspoon of dish detergent and one cup of lukewarm water. Blot the fabric with this mixture and allow solution to set for up to 5 minutes. Finally, rinse the tie with clean water and let it air dry.
2. White Vinegar Solution
White vinegar is a great home remedy for getting rid of rouge stains from ties. Start by mixing together 3 parts white vinegar and 1 part cold water. Soak the stained area in this solution and let it sit for 15 minutes. After, rinse the tie and let it air dry.
3. Rubbing Alcohol
Rubbing alcohol is another effective way to remove rouge stains from ties. Begin by lightly dapping the stained area with a cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol. Then, rinse the area with cold water and let it air dry.
4. Milk
Surprisingly, milk can be used as a natural stain remover. Begin by soaking the stained area in cold milk for 30 minutes. After, gently dab fabric with a cloth to remove any remaining residue. Then, rinse the tie with cold water and let it air dry.
5. Baking Soda and Vinegar
This combination makes for an effective stain remover. Start by mixing together 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 3 teaspoons of white vinegar. Apply mixture directly to the stained area and allow it to sit for 20 minutes. Then, rinse the tie with cold water and allow it to air dry.
