What You'll Need

  • Mild dish soap
  • Purified or distilled water
  • Soft cloth
  • Eyeglass lens cleaner (optional)

Step 1: Dry Clean

Use a soft cloth and gentle pressure to try and remove any dirt, dust, or other debris that might be blocking the Rouge stain.

Step 2: Soap & Water

Mix together a small amount of mild dish soap with some purified or distilled water, then use a soft cloth to gently rub the mixture onto the lenses. Make sure not to press too hard and scratch the surface of the lenses.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Gently rinse away any remaining soap mixture with purified or distilled water, then use a soft cloth or air blower to dry lenses completely.

Step 4: Lens Cleaner (Optional)

If Rouge stain is still present, you can use a commercial eyeglass lens cleaner to try and remove it. Spray the cleaner, rub gently with a clean cloth, and then rinse with water and dry.
