Rouge, a popular cosmetic powder, can be difficult to remove if it stains your suede items. Luckily, you don’t need any fancy or expensive tools in order to restore suede to its original state. Here is a step-by-step guide to removing rouge stains from suede.

Step 1: Gently Blot the Stain

Take a clean and dry cloth and gently blot affected area. Be sure not to rub the stain as this can spread it further.

Step 2: Create a Paste

Mix together one part cornstarch with three parts cold water until a thick paste forms. Apply the paste directly on the rouge stain. Let the paste sit for about 15 minutes.

Step 3: Wipe the Paste Away

Gently wipe away the paste with a clean cloth. Use a small circular motion while you wipe until all of the paste is gone.

Step 4: Scrub the Area

Mix together one teaspoon of gentle liquid detergent with two cups of warm water. Dip a soft-bristled toothbrush into the solution and carefully scrub the area in a circular motion. Then rinse the area with cool water and dry with a cloth.

Step 5: Dry Item

Once you’ve removed all of the rouge stain, it’s important to make sure that the item is completely dry. Place the item in a warm, dry area and allow it to air dry for several hours. Make sure that the item is completely dry before wearing it or storing it.
