Clothing Preparation
- Check label on your garment to make sure that it’s safe to machine-wash.
- Turn the garment inside out and use a stain removal pen or pre-treatment product on the affected area.
- If the fabric is delicate, hand-wash it instead of putting it in the washing machine.
Cleaning Agents and Tools
- Gather the supplies you’ll need: oxygen bleach, detergent, and a soft brush.
- Mix one part oxygen bleach with four parts warm water.
- Make sure the oxygen bleach you’re using is suitable for washable fibers such as silk.
Stain Removal
- Gently dab the affected area with the oxygen bleach mixture.
- Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Using the soft brush, scrub the area with gentle circles.
- Rinse with cold water and repeat the process until the stain is gone.
- Wash your garment as directed by the care label.
After Care
- Ensure that the area is completely dry before storing the garment.
- If the stain is still visible, repeat process and then wash the garment.
- Never iron stained fabric.
