Step #1: Blot the Stain
Using a cloth or paper towel, gently blot the stained area to absorb as much excess liquid as possible. Do not scrub or rub the fabric, as this could cause the stain to further spread or damage the material.
Step #2: Create a Cleaning Solution
Mix one teaspoon of detergent and one teaspoon of white vinegar with one cup of warm water. Once mixed, apply the solution to the stained area with a clean cloth or sponge and allow it to sit for five minutes.
Step #3: Rinse the Fabric
Using cool water, gently rinse the fabric to remove cleaning solution. Make sure all of the liquid is completely removed from the fabric.
Step #4: Dry the Fabric
Once completely rinsed out, lay the fabric flat on a clean, dry towel. Use another towel to gently press down on the stain to absorb any remaining moisture. Allow it to air dry completely or use a low-heat setting on the dryer.
