Step 1: Blot the Stain

Start by taking a clean cloth and blotting stain with it. Don't rub or scrub the stain as this may spread it further. Blotting helps absorb the rouge without damaging fabric.

Step 2: Apply Detergent Solution

Mix one teaspoon of liquid detergent with a cup of cold water. Use a clean cloth to dab the solution onto the stained area. Don't soak the fabric or you risk making the stain worse. After a few minutes, rinse off the solution completely.

Step 3: Apply Ammonia Solution

Mix a tablespoon of clear ammonia with a cup of warm water in a bowl. Dip a new cloth into solution and dab it on the stain. Let the solution sit for a few minutes then rinse the area with warm water.

Step 4: Apply Vinegar Solution

To further remove any remaining stain, mix a tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water in a bowl. Dab the solution onto stained area and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Step 5: Launder the Fabric

Once all the solutions have been applied and rinsed off, launder the fabric as normal. Check to make sure the stain is gone before drying the fabric. If the stain persists, repeat above steps.
