Rouge is a type of cosmetic powder that is immensely popular among women. While it is super easy to apply, it can be quite tricky to remove from your clothing. If it gets onto your sari, it is natural for you to panic. But don’t worry; with a few simple steps, you can easily and quickly get rid of the stains.
The first step to take when it comes to getting rid of rouge stains is to use a cloth to blot away as much of the excess powder as possible. Make sure not to rub the fabric as this could spread the stain further.
After you have blotted stain, pre-treat it with a mixture of soap and water. Use lukewarm water for best results and work the soap into the fabric until it forms a lather. Then, wash it off with cold water.
It is important to wash the sari separately in order to remove the rouge stain completely. Use either a mild detergent or a specialised stain remover that suits fabrics like silk. After washing, make sure to let the sari air dry before ironing.
