The first step is to remove any excess rouge from sandals. Do this by scraping off any obvious trace of the rouge with the back of a spoon or a butter knife. This will help ensure that no extra rouge is spread when cleaning.
Dampen a soft cloth with either white vinegar or lemon juice and start scrubbing stained areas of your sandals. You can adjust the type of liquid you use depending on the color of your sandals and how light or dark they are. If the sandals are lighter in color, then it is best to stick with the white vinegar. If the sandals are darker in color, then the lemon juice is a better choice.
Next, take some dish soap and apply it directly to the stained area. Use a toothbrush to scrub away the rouge. Make sure to work it into the fabric of the sandal for best results. Be careful not to scrub too hard, as this could potentially damage your sandals.
Rinse the area with cold water and inspect to see if stain has been removed. If it has not been fully eliminated, repeat steps two and three until you are satisfied with the results.
Once the stain has been removed, allow the sandals to air-dry. Do not put them in the dryer, as this could damage them further. Instead, hang them up or lay them flat so that they can dry naturally.
Congratulations, you have successfully cleaned the rouge stains from your sandals! Your sandals should now look as good as new. All that's left to do is enjoy them and show them off!
