What You'll Need:
- Mild laundry detergent
- White vinegar
- Soft-bristled toothbrush
- Cotton swabs
- Towels or cloths
Instructions:
- Start by mixing a solution of mild laundry detergent and white vinegar in a bowl. The ratio should be 1 teaspoon of detergent and 2 teaspoons of white vinegar.
- Soak a soft bristled toothbrush in the solution.
- Gently (very gently!) scrub rouge stain using the brush and the solution. Start at the edges of the stain and work your way inwards.
- When it no longer looks like the stain is lifting, stop scrubbing and rinse the lace with cold water.
- Once rinsed, gently blot (do not rub!) the stained area with a towel to remove excess moisture.
- If there is still some residue, dab a cotton swab in some white vinegar and gently dab the remaining residue.
- Once all the residue is gone, rinse one more time and blot with a towel again.
- Lastly, hang the lace up to air dry and voila, you have a clean piece of Rosepoint lace!
