The first step in dealing with rouge stains is to act fast. As soon as you notice stain, start by blotting it with a paper towel. Don’t rub or scrub, simply blot away excess liquid. Don’t let the stain set too long before treating it.

Once you’ve blotted away the excess liquid, prepare a cleaning solution. For Ralph Lauren fabrics, mix one teaspoon of mild, liquid laundry detergent with two cups of cold water. Dip a clean cloth in the mixture and gently dab the stained area. Blot the area with a dry cloth to absorb the liquid.

If the stain persists, repeat the cleaning process again. You may also try rubbing alcohol on the stain. Simply pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto the stain and let it sit for ten minutes before blottinng the area with a dry cloth. Do not use hot water or put the fabric in the washing machine, as this could cause the stain to set permanently.

Finally, if you’re still having trouble getting rid of the rouge stain, take the garment to a professional cleaning service. They will have the right tools and techniques to remove the stain without damaging the fabric.
