If you’re dealing with a rouge stain on your raincoat, it can seem like an intimidating task. But with a few simple steps, you can have that coat looking nice as new in no time!
The first step is to rinse stain off as soon as possible using cold water. This will help prevent the stain from setting in.
Fill a bowl or sink with lukewarm water and add a small amount of detergent or dish soap. Agitate the solution with your hands until it forms a soapy lather. Once done, add the raincoat and let it soak for a few minutes.
Once the raincoat has soaked for a few minutes, use a strong non-bleach oxygenated cleaner to spot treat stained area. Work the cleaner into the stain with a soft cloth or towel. Then rinse the coat off and check to see if the stain is gone.
If the stain persists after following the above steps, it might be necessary to repeat the treatment a few times. If you still have trouble getting the stain out, try adding some white vinegar to the soapy water solution.
Once all treatments have been completed, hang the coat up to air dry. Do not tumble dry the raincoat, as this can cause the stain to set in.
Removing rouge stains from a raincoat can be a daunting task, but with right materials and a bit of patience, you can easily get those stains out! Just follow the above steps and your raincoat will look as good as new!
