A simple way to remove rouge stains from your cookware is to combine aluminum foil and salt. Begin by tearing off some strands of foil that are about 8-10 inches long and wadding them into balls. Place the foil balls in the sections of the pot or pan with rouge stains, making sure that they are touching the spots. Sprinkle a generous amount of salt over the foil, then pour some water on the mixture and boil it for 10-15 minutes.
Once the time is up, take pot or pan off the heat and let it cool down. Then, use a sponge or brush to scrub away the rusted stains. This combination of aluminum foil and salt should break through the rouge, leaving your pots and pans looking and feeling brand new.
Another method for eliminating rouge stains is to use eggshells and vinegar. Start by grinding up 25-30 eggshells with a kitchen grinder or blender. Once the shells are finely ground, place them in the sections of your cookware with rouge stains. Fill the pot or pan up halfway with white vinegar and add a few drops of liquid dish soap. Allow the mixture to sit and simmer on stove for 15-20 minutes before taking it off the heat and letting it cool.
Once the eggshells and vinegar have cooled, use a sponge or brush to scrub away the rouge. Rinse and scrub until your pots and pans are completely clean and the rouge stains have been eradicated. The eggshells will help to break down the rouge while the vinegar will act as an additional cleaning agent.
