Since rouge is a powder-based makeup, you'll want to saturate stain with a mild dish soap and distilled white vinegar solution. Mix together equal parts of each in a bowl of warm water and stir until the soap is completely dissolved. Immerse the stained area of the poncho in the mixture and let it soak for 15-20 minutes.
Using a soft-bristled scrub brush and hydrogen peroxide, gently scrub the affected area in a circular motion. Be sure to work up a lather before rinsing poncho off with cold water. Repeat this step as necessary until the stain has been lifted.
Thoroughly rinse the poncho off with cold water and pat dry with a soft terrycloth towel. Hang the poncho up to air dry or tumble dry on the lowest heat setting for no more than five minutes. Once it is completely dry, inspect the area for any residue that may remain.
If there is still residue left on the poncho, apply a small amount of mild dish soap directly to stain and then rub gently with a clean white cloth. Rinse the poncho off with cold water and hang it up to air dry. Once it is completely dry, your poncho should look as good as new!
