What You'll Need

  • a soft cloth or sponge
  • mild soap
  • warm water
  • vinegar
  • baking soda

Instructions

  1. Gently and carefully remove any excess rouge from Oxford material with a soft cloth or sponge. Be careful not to spread the stains as you wipe them away.
  2. Mix one part mild soap to two parts warm water. Dip the cloth or sponge in the mixture and dab at the remaining rouge stains.
  3. If the stains remain, mix one part vinegar to two parts warm water and repeat step two.
  4. If the stains still won’t come out, sprinkle baking soda on the stains and rub gently. Then, dip a cloth into the soapy water mixture and wipe the stains away.
  5. Allow Oxfords to dry naturally. Once dry, check to ensure stains have been fully removed before continuing to wear the shoes.
