What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Warm water
  • Oxygen bleach powder
  • A soft brush or toothbrush
  • HE liquid laundry detergent

Removing Rouge Stains

The first step to getting rid of those pesky rouge stains is to create a mixture of white vinegar and warm water in a bowl. Gently dab the stain with the mixture and let it sit for a few minutes. This will help to loosen and remove some of the rouge.

Once rouge has been loosened, you can begin to scrub the stain with a gentle brush. Try to use a circular motion to remove any remaining rouge. For stubborn stains, try using a mixture of oxygen bleach powder mixed with water.

After the rouge has been removed, rinse the area with running water and pat it dry with a cloth. To finish, pretreat the area with HE liquid laundry detergent and launder normally. This will help to remove any remaining residue and restore the fabric's original color.
