How to Easily Remove Rouge Stains from New Balance Shoes

If you’ve spilled rouge on your New Balance shoes and are now trying to figure out how to clean them, don’t worry—the process isn’t too difficult. The first step is to remove excess rouge with a damp cloth. After gently swabbing stained area, blot with a dry towel to absorb the excess stain.
Once you’ve removed as much rouge as you can with a cloth, it’s time to use a cleaning solution. Mix ½ a teaspoon of liquid detergent with one liter of warm water. With a soft brush, dip it in the solution and gently scrub the stained area. Use circular motions, making sure to avoid rubbing too hard on surface of the material.
Once you’re done scrubbing, rinse the shoe with cold water and pat dry. Then, it’s time to use a stain remover. Pour a small amount of the product on stained area and let it soak for five minutes. After that, blot the area with a clean, damp cloth until the stain is gone.
Finally, let the shoe air-dry in a shady area. Never place it in the direct sunlight or in a dryer, as this could damage the material. Once your shoes are dry, they should look like new.
