Step 1: Brush Away Loose Rouge Particles

Start by brushing away any loose particles of rouge using a soft, dry brush. Take care to be gentle - you don't want to damage the mohair fabric.

Step 2: Create a Sudsy Mixture of Water and Soap

In a small bowl, mix warm water with a mild detergent or soap, such as shampoo or dishwashing liquid. Dip a cloth or sponge into mixture to create a sudsy solution.

Step 3: Blot the Stain with Sudsy Sponge

Take the sudsy sponge and gently blot the stained area. Be careful not to scrub or rub too hard, as this could damage the fabric. Work from the outer edges of the stain towards the center.

Step 4: Rinse the Stained Area

If possible, rinse the stained area with clean, warm water. Alternatively, if you're dealing with a large piece of mohair fabric, you can soak the entire item in lukewarm water.

Step 5: Let Fabric Air Dry

Once all the excess moisture has been removed, lay the mohair fabric flat in an area with good air circulation, such as near a fan or an open window. Allow the fabric to air dry completely before using it again.
