Begin by lightly dampening a clean white cloth with lukewarm water. Do not soak the cloth. Gently dab rouge stain on loafer with the damp cloth until you have removed as much of the stain as possible. Make sure to use only light strokes to avoid damaging the fabric.

Next, use a small amount of mild laundry detergent and warm water to create a sudsy mixture. Apply mixture onto the rouge-stained area of loafer using your damp cloth. Use light circular motions to loosen the rouge from the fabric fibers. Use a separate cloth to rinse the affected area of the loafer with clean warm water.

Allow the area to air dry or lightly dab with a dry cloth. Be sure to check for any residual rouge staining before putting the loafer away.

If rouge stain does not come out on the first attempt, try repeating the cleaning steps. You may also want to consider using a leather cleaner that is specifically designed for removing rouge stains. Before using any cleaning products, test them on a hidden area of loafer to make sure they won’t cause any damage to the material.
