The first step to getting rid of rouge stain is to prepare your workspace. Gather a few supplies including a bucket, garden hose, liquid dish soap, sponge, and some white vinegar. Make sure to wear gloves during the process to protect your skin from the chemicals.
Wet down the stained area with the garden hose. This will help loosen up any dried-on dirt or grime that can be difficult to get off after. Give the area a thorough rinse and make sure to remove any standing water with paper towels or a shop vacuum.
Before attempting to scrub away the stain, mix up a cleaning solution in your bucket to help loosen up the soil and break down the grime. To do this, add 1/4 cup of liquid dish soap and one gallon of white vinegar to bucket. Give the mixture a good stir and you’re ready to move onto next step.
Using sponge, scrub stained area vigorously with the cleaning solution. Work in a circular motion, making sure to cover the entire area. For tougher stains, let the cleaning solution sit on the area for 5 minutes before scrubbing. After scrubbing, rinse the area with the garden hose and make sure to remove any debris with paper towels.
Once you’ve scrubbed away the stain, treat the area with a carpet cleaner. Let the cleaner sit on the area for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with the garden hose. If the stain still persists, repeat steps 3 through 5 until the stain is completely gone.
With the right combination of products and effort, you can easily get rid of stubborn rouge stains from your lawn. Follow steps above to restore your lawn’s beauty and keep it looking its best.
