What You Need

  • White vinegar
  • Sponge or cloth
  • Cold water
  • Laundry soap

Instructions

  1. Start by dipping your sponge or cloth into the white vinegar. Gently dab the stain with the vinegar, and don’t rub as this can spread the stain.
  2. Next, use cold water to rinse off the vinegar solution. Then dip the sponge or cloth into laundry detergent, and again, gently dab the stain.
  3. Using cold water, rinse off detergent and repeat the process until the stain is gone. Once stain is gone, hang the kimono up to dry.

Tips

  • If stain persists, mix a few drops of laundry detergent with cold water and soak stained area for 10 minutes. Rinse off the detergent solution and proceed with Step 2.
  • Do not use hot water as this will set the stain.
