The quicker you treat a stain, the easier it is to remove. If rouge stains your J Crew piece, act fast and don't wait!
Using back of a teaspoon, gently scrape away any excess rouge that is still wet. Do this before you begin to apply any agents or attempt to rub or scrub.
To remove the rouge, use a gentile remedy like a liquid laundry detergent. If the detergent does not work, you may need to try an oxygen-based cleaner. Make sure to test detergent on a small part of the clothing first.
Next, pretreat stained area. To do this, completely soak the fabric with cleaning agent. You may need to let it sit for a few minutes before continuing.
Place the J Crew item in washing machine and run as normal. If possible, use the highest temperature recommended for the fabric. After washing, inspect the garment to make sure the stain has been removed.
If the stain has not been removed after washing, you may need to repeat steps 2-5 until the stain is gone.
