Step 1: Gather Supplies

To start off, gather up the necessary supplies for cleaning your rouge stained fleece. You will need a few drops of mild detergent, a clean white cloth, a bath towel, and a mild laundry booster such as Borax or Oxyclean.

Step 2: Pre-Wash Preparations

Lay the stained fleece on the bath towel and gently blot the area with the white cloth dipped in warm water to help loosen up the stain. Once you’ve blotted the stain, sprinkle a small amount of the laundry booster onto the fabric and let it sit for 10 minutes.

Step 3: Begin Washing Process

It’s time to add the detergent to the stain. Put several tablespoons of detergent into a bowl filled with warm water and stir until the detergent is completely dissolved. Submerge the rouge-stained area of the fleece into the bowl and let it soak for 5-10 minutes.

Step 4: Rinse & Repeat if Necessary

Once the fabric has sat for 5-10 minutes, carefully remove it from the bowl and begin rinsing it in cool water. Continue until detergent has been completely removed. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps two thru four until stain has been removed.

Step 5: Repeat Washing Process if Needed

If the stain is still visible after the first few washings, increase the amount of detergent and laundry booster used and repeat washing process again. Remember to always use mild detergents and to never use hot water on delicate fabrics such as fleece.

Step 6: Drying Process

Once the stain has been removed, lay fabric down on a clean, dry towel and pat it dry with another clean, dry towel. Don’t wring the fabric as this can cause stretching. Let it dry naturally on the towel.
