The first step is to blot stain immediately with a clean, damp cloth. This will help lift some of the stain from fabric and stop it from spreading further. Do not rub or scrub the stain as this can cause it to spread.
Next, you should pre-treat stain with an enzyme-based detergent or oxygen bleach. Apply a few drops of the detergent or bleach directly onto the stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
Once the pre-treatment has had time to work, place garment in the washing machine and wash it on a gentle cycle using cold water. Make sure to use a mild detergent and avoid using any fabric softeners or bleach.
When the cycle has finished, take the fabric out of the washing machine and allow it to air dry. Once completely dry, inspect the fabric to make sure the stain has been completely removed. If not, repeat steps 2-4 until the stain is gone.
Removing rouge stains from double georgette can be a difficult task, but with right methods and the right products, it's definitely possible. Follow these 4 simple steps and you'll have your double georgette looking like new in no time.
