If your crop top has been inflicted with rouge, a type of makeup stain, don't despair—you can still bring it back to its original glory. Here's how.
Step 1: Pre-treat the Stain
To pre-treat your garment, start by gently brushing away any residue. Then, moisten a cloth or sponge with cool or lukewarm water and dab it onto the stained area. This will help break down rouge.
If you don't have an absorbent cloth, try blotting stain with a piece of paper towel. Make sure to use a new, unused sheet so you don't spread stain around even further.
Step 2: Soak the Garment
The next step is to soak the garment in a lukewarm mixture of detergent and water. You can use either laundry soap or a special detergent that is specifically designed to remove makeup stains. Allow the garment to soak for at least 30 minutes but no longer than 1 hour.
Step 3: Wash the Crop Top
