Removing rouge stains from cotton voile can be done in several ways. First, you'll need to soak the stained fabric in warm water for 10 minutes. Then, add a detergent or stain remover and let it sit for another 10 minutes. Then rinse off the soapy mixture with warm water. This should remove most of the rouge.
If rouge stain remains, you can use a more powerful method. Mix a tablespoon of ammonia with a cup of cold water. Apply this solution to stain with a sponge, rubbing gently until the stain begins to disappear. Rinse off the ammonia solution with cold water, and then launder the fabric as usual.
If the above methods do not work, it's time to turn to stronger solutions like bleach. Mix 1/4 cup of chlorine bleach with 2 quarts of hot water. Soak affected area, rub the fabric gently, and then rinse off with cold water. Be sure to follow up with a laundry cycle. Bleach should only be used as a last resort since it can be hard on delicate fabrics.
By following these simple steps and some patience, you can get rid of rouge stains on cotton voile fabric. Be sure to test any cleaning solutions in an inconspicuous spot first, and always read the fabric care label before attempting to clean the surface.
