Before you start any stain removal process, you should always read the care label on the garment itself. If it advises against using vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, or detergent, use a mild soap instead. This will help prevent additional fabric damage.
Mix equal parts white vinegar and cold water in a small bowl or cup. The solution should be enough to cover the stain, so adjust measurements if necessary.
Soak the fabric in the vinegar and water solution for at least 30 minutes, up to an hour if needed. This will help loosen stain and make it easier to remove.
After the fabric has soaked, apply a detergent designed for colored fabrics directly to the stain. Then, add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide to detergent and massage into the stained area. Leave for a few minutes.
Rinse the fabric with clean water and then wash as usual. Make sure to check the stain before drying, as the heat can set the stain permanently. If necessary, repeat the cleaning steps until stain is gone.
