Using a soft sponge or cloth, gently scrape away as much of the excess rouge as possible. Take care not to press too hard, which can cause the rouge to spread further and worsen the stain.
Work a mild, white soap into stain with a damp cloth. Make sure to rub the fabric together gently, as vigorous scrubbing can cause damage. Afterwards, rinse the soap away with lukewarm water.
Create a solution of Oxi-Clean using the manufacturer instructions. Dip a clean cloth into the solution, then use it to blot remaining stain until it disappears. Finish by rinsing the fabric with lukewarm water to remove any excess solution.
With a few basic household supplies, you can quickly and easily erase rouge stains from cotton canvas fabric. Follow these three steps, and your fabric will be good as new!
