The Supplies You'll Need

  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • A dropper or eye dropper bottle
  • An old toothbrush
  • Paper towels
  • Mild detergent

Directions:

  1. Start by blotting the stain gently with a paper towel.
  2. Mix 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with 1 teaspoon of mild detergent in a bowl.
  3. Using a dropper, apply mixture directly onto the stain and blot it gently with a paper towel.
  4. Let the solution sit on the stain for 5 minutes, then blot the stain again with a paper towel.
  5. Using an old toothbrush, scrub the stain gently in a circular motion.
  6. Rinse stained area with cold water and blot it with a paper towel to remove any remaining residue.
  7. Allow area to air dry.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Never use hot water on rouge stains as it will set the stain and make it harder to remove.
  • Always test the hydrogen peroxide mixture on an inconspicuous area of the clothing before applying it to the stain to make sure it won’t discolor or damage the fabric.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, you may need to repeat process several times until the stain is completely gone.
